getting paid ๐ธ โ
Congratulations!
Your claim has successfully completed the poidh process.
The bounty creator selected your claim, any required voting has finished, and the bounty has been completed.
Now it's time to collect your reward.
where to claim your funds โ
Rewards are not sent automatically.
Instead, poidh uses a pull payment model, which means you claim your rewards yourself.
To collect your payout:
- Connect the wallet that submitted the winning claim.
- Navigate to your profile page.
- Claim your available balance.
This approach is more secure than automatically sending funds during bounty completion and gives you full control over when you receive your payout.
claiming your reward โ
When you claim your rewards, your wallet will ask you to approve a transaction.
Once the transaction is confirmed, your reward will be transferred directly to your wallet.
That's it.
Your bounty has now been fully completed.
protocol fee โ
poidh charges a flat 2.5% protocol fee on completed bounties.
For example:
| Total Bounty | Protocol Fee | Claimant Receives |
|---|---|---|
| 1.00 ETH | 0.025 ETH | 0.975 ETH |
The protocol fee is deducted automatically when the bounty is completed.
You don't need to calculate anything yourself.
you'll also pay a network gas fee โ
Claiming your reward is an onchain transaction.
That means you'll also pay the normal network gas fee for whichever chain the bounty was created on.
For example:
- Ethereum Mainnet rewards require ETH for gas.
- Base rewards require ETH on Base for gas.
- Arbitrum rewards require ETH on Arbitrum for gas.
The gas fee is separate from the 2.5% protocol fee.
It goes to the network processing your transactionโnot to poidh.
why rewards are claimed instead of automatically sent โ
You might wonder why poidh asks winners to claim their rewards instead of automatically sending them.
The answer is simple:
Pull payments are safer.
Rather than having the protocol send funds during the completion process, rewards become available for withdrawal by the winning claimant.
This design improves the security of the protocol while ensuring only the correct wallet can claim the funds.
your wallet matters โ
Rewards can only be claimed by the wallet that submitted the winning claim.
Make sure you're connected with the correct wallet before attempting to claim your funds.
pay it forward โ
Winning your first bounty is a great feeling.
Now that you've experienced the process from the contributor's side, consider becoming a bounty creator yourself.
We have a small tradition in the poidh community:
Pay even a small portion of your winnings forward by creating a new bounty.
It doesn't have to be large.
A few dollars is enough.
Maybe there's a photo you want taken.
A local business you want reviewed.
An open source bug you'd like fixed.
A piece of writing you'd love to read.
Every bounty creates another opportunity for someone else to participate.
Good coordination has a way of compounding.
Our friend Alex made this bounty after winning the Log a Dog challenge you saw at the top of this page. He's a legend.
enjoy your reward โ
You've completed the work.
Submitted your claim.
Made your case.
Been selected by the bounty creator.
Made it through the protocol.
Now the reward is yours.
Enjoy it.
And if you're feeling lucky...
Pay a little of it forward. It's good luck. ๐
